This remanufactured black MICR toner replaces the HP 42A (Q5942A) in HP LaserJet printers. It is made for businesses and offices that print their own checks and need toner their printer can use for that job.

What MICR Toner Does for Check Printing

MICR toner contains magnetic particles. Bank processing equipment reads those particles in the account and routing numbers along the bottom of a check. Regular toner does not work for this, so a printer that makes checks needs MICR toner.
