Supplies here cover HP's laser and inkjet lines. The biggest groups are Color LaserJet, LaserJet, OfficeJet, LaserJet Pro and DesignJet. Toner makes up the largest share, followed by ink, with a small number of drums.

Compatible and remanufactured options

Every item is aftermarket. Compatible products are new-built supplies that replace an HP part number. Remanufactured products are used HP cartridges that have been rebuilt. Both usually cost less than new name-brand cartridges.

• Compatible toner: CF248A, CF280X, CF289Y, W1105A and W1470Y replace the matching HP black toner.
• Remanufactured toner: 45A, C4182X, C8543X and CE260X are rebuilt black toner cartridges.

Colors and page yields

Black is the most common color for toner. Ink is sold in black, photo black, matte black, cyan, magenta, yellow, gray and light shades, along with tri-color, multi-color and multi-pack sets.

Capacity is listed as standard, high yield or extra high yield. For example, the compatible CF280X is an extra high yield black toner rated at about 13,000 pages, and the remanufactured CE260X is a high yield black toner rated at about 17,000 pages. The compatible CF289Y reaches about 20,000 pages.
